The Probiotic Offers Solution To Industry Challenges In Poultry
In recent years, with the growth-promoting antibiotic regulation and increasing attention to food safety, the poultry industry has undergone multiple changes. These changes pose challenges for poultry farmers who need to find new and effective tools that can limit the growth of intestinal pathogens and improve production performance.
“GalliPro Fit is Chr. Hansen’s first probiotic combine three unique strains in one product to address some of the key challenges faced by poultry farmers today. In short, three new strains in GalliPro Fit have been shown to effectively improve digestive performance, limit the growth of intestinal pathogens and stimulate the immune system of broilers, eggs and turkeys," explained Dr. Dorthe Sandvang DVM, animal health innovation and chief scientist of the project.
Meeting farmers’ needs with a 3-in-1 solution
Reducing the incidence of bird-digestive disorders is one of the major challenges facing the poultry industry and is the starting point for the development of GalliPro Fit.
"We know that the key challenge for poultry farmers is the healthy gut system. But there are many elements - including effective digestibility and keeping animals healthy. The combination of these three unique strains provides our customers with a comprehensive solution." To address the multiple challenges facing the industry today, "Dorthe added.
Science based, research proven
By Collaborating with different research institutions in North America and Europe, Chr. Hansen has conducted a single strain of research and conduct research on combinatorial products in the form of field trials, university research routes, and customer demonstration experiments.
Through this research, GalliPro Fit has been proven effectively in the following key areas:
·Performance parameters. Supports normal intestinal integrity and function, reduces early mortality, and effectively absorbs feed nutrients.
·Intestinal stability. Inhibits the proliferation of common enteric pathogens, including Clostridium perfringens, Salmonella, and E. coli.
·Digestibility. Improve digestion of proteins, carbohydrates and non-starch polysaccharides.
·Stimulate the immune system. Interact with intestinal cells to support barrier function and immune surveillance.
·Competitive exclusion. Prevents the attachment of potentially pathogenic E. coli to the intestinal wall.
"As the first product to combine these three unique strains, GalliPro Fit is a testament of our Nature's No.1 strategy, which focuses on pioneering science," explained Vilson Simon, senior vice president of animal health.
"By solving some of the most important health and production challenges faced by today's manufacturers, we can help our customers achieve their chicken performance and ultimately their business through this three-in-one solution," concluded Vilson.
